Chapter 6A Chapter by AngeliqueLake Gloria. The lake that the town was named after. Jordan sure was right about one thing, the scenery was breath taking. The shining large lake was surrounded by large oak trees and green grass. Although the leaves on the oak trees were from bright orange to deep yellow in colour. As I sat under the oak tree, my art book out and started to sketch the lake, some of Jordan's girlfriends came over. A lot of them were idiots, besides two girls. Eve was really smart, yet she didn't really care about school. All she wanted to do with her life was become a photographer. She had her camera hanging on her neck the whole time and she would casually take pictures of her friends talking if the angle of the sun was right, or if there was a gust of wind that blew the leaves at just the right angle. Occasionally there would be some wildlife around the lake and she would get a snapshot of that as well. "I have a large corkboard pinned up in my room. There are mountains of pictures pinned all over it. I started when I was about ten. That's when I got my first camera. I took all the money that I got from helping mamma in the convenient store we own. My first camera was a cheap disposable camera that we sell there. Get stock of about thirty cameras in every year. I get a new one every few months. All my money went to buying a new camera. I only got my new baby here a few years ago when I finally raised two hundred dollars. I went to the mayors house and asked to borrow their computer so that I could make an order for the camera, I sent out my money the next day, the camera arrived two months later. I don't know what I would do without my baby over here." Abigail on the other hand had a knack for writing. Her way with words were outstanding. And yet you could have a conversation with her and not pick it up. Her talent was not visible unless you asked. When I asked Eve about her talent she directed the conversation to Abigail about how she was a creative writer. "So what do you write exactly?" I asked her. "Oh, I write for the school paper mostly. My mother works for the towns paper. But I am not into the straight forward article stuff. Factual is good and all, but I prefer fiction. I love losing myself in a land that is controlled by me. That I can make and do what I please." I smiled. "Sounds like fun." "Oh it is." "And what are you going to do with that talent?" She bit her lip. "Mum of course wants me to take her place when I am done. Although I would rather move somewhere else and write stories. Let's face it, if you have a big dream you are not going to get it by staying here." I nodded. "So does Jordan have any good factors about him?" They all glanced over at him. "He's a nice guy." Eve suggested. "But no actual talents?" Abigail sighed. "He had a dream once...he loves music...he dreamed big of becoming a singer...he's really good at singing too. But of course his father wants him to take over the farm. And that's what he is going to do." © 2015 AngeliqueReviews
