Sanguine.

Sanguine.

A Poem by Angeliki Largatzis

Dimming lights
velvety satins
her silks a creased
rose blushed shade
and the ropes
they bound
marking anew
the soft ivory
of her arms tethered -
paved floors
sanguine napkins
her blood a cascaded
cerise tinted hue
and it drips
concealed in
her silken reds,
rended to her ankles
confined in rusted chain -
rustled clothing
scalding wax
her rump a bruised
carmine flushed tone
and he relinquishes
his scarlet tinged whip
savoring her swollen sepia eyes,
tear-stained and squinted pain
and he moves
for her arms reach out in an embrace
and his hands close around her throat
and he loves
that cherry
blushed
face.

Have had to read your words twice, second time very slowly. Whether your words refer to sadism or an agreed sub/dom experience is something to consider. Uncomfortable to read it nonetheless leaves a literary mark. For me, emotionally, wouldn't want to read it before turning off the light! However, perhaps it could be called headline writing ~ the decision is personal.

Your words dear Angeliki. Like sweet candy. Gentle, with purpose and the reader can feel and see. The slow and easy flow of words I did like. Thank you dear poet for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
