Old Willow Tree.A Poem by Angeliki LargatzisThe tales uttered in Silence..
The cemetery sleeps
beyond the old willow trees casting shadows as they creak - the names of history are etched upon the headstones of skeletons as they lay, a memory of what once was. The cemetery whispers amongst the crows that mock cawing of death as they perch - the tales of our sorrows are told upon the faces of the living as they kneel, a reminder of what still is. The cemetery sighs beyond the old rickety bridge moaning cautions as it sways - the earthly breeze of nature creeps upon the tall unkempt grasses of green as they sweep, a telling of what may be. © 2020 Angeliki LargatzisReviews
