I am not just a body.A Poem by Angeliki Largatzis
I am not just a body..
I have felt pain greater than these razor sharp nails that burrow deep into my flesh, My chains are merely wisps of silk not the anchors you think confine me like weights to this earth.. I am as weightless as you are intense with your words of abuse and heavy hands, My feet know not just one direction but thousands of crossroads, paths and short cuts I harbor not just a heart of hate and self loathing for my passion burns brighter than the embers of a flame, and my loyalty is the push against one's back when the courage is needed.. I am not just a body, that lays cold within a coffin I am everything you breathe, I am everywhere. © 2020 Angeliki LargatzisReviews
