Time perception differs from our other senses – sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch, even proprioception – since time cannot be directly perceived, so it must be “reconstructed” in some way by the brain. Your contemporary poetical approach makes this reader sit up and ponder ... just like a good write should - bravo... :-)
This poem is intense. You wouldn't think so at first but as you continue to read on, there is the realization that it's not just about "time" but "who holds it" and what has been done with it. The poem conveys to me some sort of abuse, and causes me to think of a man who is dishonorable and in need of being hunted and lashed with a whip for the cruel things or "thing" he has done.
It isn't even specifically deliberate in what is described but you did a very good job of portraying indirectly what is going on, "showing not telling" as they say, and in that I commend you for a well written piece of work, a "moment of time" captured.
I have been writing poetry on and off for a few years now, and I love writing books. To me - writing is my greatest passion and I would love to meet many people who share the same interest. more..
