Tears falling

A poem about the loss of a friendship

I don't let people in easily

But you and I instantly clicked

We bonded 

We had a connection

That was strong

Even though we only knew each other through a computer screen 

You were a great friend

And I thought I was one to you too

But yet I see now...I was wrong

We butted heads

On more than one occasion

But we always overcame it 

Then why

Why can't we overcome this?

Yes I feel betrayed and hurt but I can forgive

It's not worth

Losing our friendship over

And you agreed 

But now 

You have been ignoring me

Are you thinking about things?

Why is it so hard

For me to just let things be

And give you time if you need it?

For fear, 

For fear of losing your friendship

For fear of never speaking with you again 

You say you want to keep our friendship

I should believe that 

And let you be

But something inside me

Tells me that isn't true

So I will mourn now

Mourn the loss 

Of your friendship

Get all the tears out

That way

If you ever speak 

To me again 

I'll already be numb

From the loss of our friendship

And just wish you the best in life

I shall never forget you

And the friendship we had

And if we are to part ways

Then know that

I forgive you 

For everything.
