A poem to a lost friend

This poem describes how I feel towards someone who's friendship was lost regardless of what was done to me

If I asked to talk to you

Would you listen

To what I would have to say?

 

If I told you that I missed you

Would you say back you missed me too

Or would you just shrug it off?

 

If I told you,

I missed being your kitten

Would you believe me?

 

If I asked for us to start over

Wipe the slate clean

Be friends again

 

Would you agree?

Or just let this be lost forever?

 

You've always been there for me

And yeah it hurt

That fateful day

 

Somehow

I've managed to forgive

And just want to move on....

 

But my heart

For some reason

Refuses to move on without you in my life

 

We've been through alot

We've had our fights

But at the end of the day, I always knew i could count on you

 

I miss you my friend

I really do

And now more than ever, I value our friendship

 

Maybe this new event in my life

Has changed my way of thinking

Maybe I know life is too short to let petty things get in the way

 

All I know is

Though I may not understand

The things you do

 

I still miss and love

Those crazy things

About you

 

It takes alot,

For me to forgive and Forget

Well I have forgiven you, though I may not forget

 

So I ask my friend

Could we start over fresh?

Put everything behind us

 

And be once again

Good friends

Me your kitten, you my Dark Clown

that was a very good poem. i have lost a best friend as well. she did notcome back to me and i had to move on. i really do hope you and your friend work it out. Like I said again that was a beautiful poem and good luck getting your dark clown back. -bear-
