Here she lays

A fallen angel

Cast out of heaven

For her ways

 

Now on earth

Alone

Lost

And so cold

 

Then one day

The fallen angel

Found love

So she thought

 

Now here she is

Laying on the ground

Staring up

At what was once her home

 

With a broken heart

Alone and cold again

Wishing she was back

Where she'd belong

 

They say that

Only angels can hurt

But here lies the proof

That an fallen Angel

 

Can hurt too

They can feel

The sting of pain

The betrayal, the anguish

 

She too can cry

She too can wish to die

She too has emotions

Just like everyone else

 

She too tries

To shield the pain

She too tries

To run away from everything

 

She uses her wings

To try and heal the pain

But it never seems to end

The hurt, the crying

 

All she can do

Is stare up at the sky

Wishing she could

Go back to how she used to be

 

She wishes her wings

Were white instead of black

She wishes she could smile again

And sing and be happy

 

But the pains

Of this world

Hold her back

Hurt her

 

She thought

She could handle it

She thought

She was strong

 

In the end,

She wasn't that strong

After all
