Chapter Three- A story

Chapter Three- A story

A Chapter by ~Angelic~

Melinda was at the park with her friends Amy, Natasha, and Erin. Every Saturday, the three would take their children to the park together. Its been a few months, since they’ve been back to the park because of all the recent killings happening. They sat on their usual bench near the playground, gossiping about the latest killing. “Did you hear?” Amy said. “The victim was another woman.” “I heard, and I also heard that once again she had two holes in her neck, and all her blood was drained.” Natasha said. “It wasn’t drained.” Erin said. “It was sucked out of her body.” She said staring at her son. “Yeah right Erin, what in this world could’ve “sucked” her blood?” Amy said skeptical Erin would know anything. “A vampire did it.” Amy and Natasha laughed. “A vampire Erin? Yeah right.” Amy said continuing to laugh.

“There are no such things as vampires or demons or any stupid s**t like that. You’ve been watching too much tv Erin.” Natasha said. Melinda sighed at the three and watched Nasya playing. “My abuela told me a story” Erin continued. “She said, there are people, who come out at night, they look just like us, and act just like us, but the only difference is they drink blood.” “BLOOD?!” Natasha, and Amy said together. Erin looked at them with a serious face. “Yes, blood.” “What kind of blood?” Amy said. “Human Blood” “Human Blood Erin….yeah right.” Natasha scoffed. “Its true, they need it to survive. Vampires need blood to survive.”

Erin looks over at Melinda, right into her eyes. Melinda look right back into hers. “And they can be anyone….” Erin continues saying “There’s even a King and Queen” She then takes her glare off of Melinda and looks back into the sky. “ The King and Queen have been around for a long time. There was even said they had a child, but the child died….supposedly.” “What do you mean supposedly?” Melinda said turning to watch her daughter play. “Nothing, its just a silly little story.” Erin said smiling. Amy and Natasha laughed as the four women turned to look at their children playing.
