Why do I try to get so close to you?

Why have you touched my heart to this point?

When I try to pull away,

I feel my heart begin to tear.

 

When I hear your voice,

My heart skips beats and a small blush crawls across my face.

When you push me away,

I keep coming back for more.

 

Why am I trying to keep you so close to my heart?

Why must I know you?

When you've torn me apart,

I'm still falling for you.

 

When I see your face,

I smile a secret smile and look at you with hidden want in my eyes.

When you pull away,

I try to pull you closer.

 

Why do I care?

Why do I want you so badly it hurts?
