This Feeling

When you told me you might be leaving and never coming back,

I felt my world shatter.

The air left my lungs so quickly,

I thought I'd been kicked repeateditively in the stomach.

At that moment I realized something.

I realized I care far more for you than I thought I did.

I wanted to burst into tears,

I wanted to scream.

But for you,

I stayed strong and I held back my emotions.

I tried to walk away and calm my self down,

But I only ended up feeling even worst.

I wanted to hold you and beg you to promise me not to leave,

But I can't do that,

I wouldn't be able to do that.

What is this feeling?

What ever this is,

It's going to kill me slowly if it gets it's way.

Be safe,

Come home.

I'll be here, just waiting.

With tears in my eyes,

A smile on my face.

And what ever this feeling is,

Filling, and possibly over-flowing, my heart.
