Your Home

Your Home

A Poem by Mariah

You want to go home,

I want you to be happy.

You hate this place you're forced to stay.

I see it as luck for me.

Is it ever possible for you to be happy here?

Is it wrong to say that deep down,

It rips me apart that you'll leave someday.

My heart feels whole again,

and I'm no longer numb.

Is it wrong that in my heart of hearts,

I wish I was enough to make you happy?

That I wish you would just think of stayings?

That you would think of loving me?

But I know that when the time comes,

I will let you go home.

With my tears held back,

until I see that plane take you away from me.
