Changeable

Changeable

A Poem by Angelface

Changeable

I've never craved sunlight before,
Never really felt the sun.
I never hunger anymore
But I like to taste the food for fun.

My heart beats as fast as fire now
And disappears whenever you are near.
I let you steal it ‘cause you made a vow
To protect it and keep it dear.

I love whom I see through your eyes
When I look back from inside
I can deny all jealousy and lies
When you justify my pride.

You taught me how to really see
Without judgmental sight
Exactly how things are supposed to be
Undaunted by the phantom Fright.

Took a chance on a shy little girl
‘Cause she had a pixie’s eyes,
Like an oyster hiding a pearl,
Uncovered a woman inside.
