LivEEviLA Poem by AngelfaceAn old one, but a fav.LivEEviL I begin where you end, the space between us is shivering, sensual death. Eternally falling through space, chasing, seeking, peeking through the pinhole-pricked blackness of the sky; I see you with my touch. Wilting like funeral flowers into each other, spiraling backward, the ever-coiling embrace of the universe. I rest my head on your chest. I hear my own heart beating from deep within the center of everything, The engine that strives to keep me alive, shackle of the embodied soul. I love how I hate how much I love you.
See that a sparkling visage is the feminine lure. Fascinating to the man with the crooked crow’s eyes; who would devour his own daughter if they told him she were kosher. But look closer and see that the inside is dark. Her eyes are restful but deep as the ocean, both life-giving and deadly… Evil in a good way, The definition of woman.
Know that a man is a ray of white light piercing the inky cloud surrounding him. Steady gaze attracts her eye, recognizing the inner light, for she wears it as protection – a flashlight in his eyes. A subtle temptation, a deeper invitation… Good in an evil way, The definition of man.
And so the universe spins on, dancing through time… the light chasing itself through the dark chasing itself through the light… © 2000 © 2009 Angelface |
