Ballad of A Lost Girl

Ballad of A Lost Girl

A Story by TJ
"

Another tale of a girl lost and then found.

"

He found her. Nightmares raged. She woke up afraid. He settled the lost girl.

He named her Sachi. Sachi means joy. Her leg was injured. He went to lift her up but she refused. Crawling on hands and knees her determination awed him. She was amazing.

Sachi became fatigued. He looked back and she had fainted. Coming to, she tried to stand up. Pain. She did not give up.

However, she accepted his help with an unspoken thank you like a breath on the breeze. They travelled. They talked. Forgotten memories. Painful pasts. Snow fell as the season changed.

Sachi dreamed…the sky was purple, the clouds were red, the prince was riding a white horse. He smiled. She cried. Old wounds healed. The past remained in the past; only this time, with wisdom. And the memories returned.

She woke up. The lost girl was found; the hand of her knight in hers.
