Writer's block

Writer's block

A Poem by Girl With A Pen
"

What I do when I have writer's block

"
Some music in the morning
My coffee is filled up
I want to start writing
But writer's block sucks

A sip of my coffee
The music turned up
My mind draws a blank
I trace the design on my cup

Sitting at my computer desk
Staring at the  screen
It's making me sick
The worst I've seen

An idea
An experience I've been through
Looking around
There's no where I've been to

It's getting late
And my coffees' gone cold
I'll have to leave
And write experiences of my own

When I first started writing poetry/writing at all I would frequently get writers block ,and honesty I went in phases where I had tricked myself into thinking I had lost all of my talents as a writer. Anyways this poem really explained how f*****g scary writers block is for a young writer. Good job.

I relate to this so much. I've gone through this so many times. I can tell that you tried to make it a song, I like it a lot. I can see in my head every line. Great job! Love this. :)

You are welcome...:)......................
Girl with a pen, Angela. The surest cure for Writer's Block is to work in events from your own life. It's that much easier to write because you were there, you know what happened, and you know how it turned out.

I would honestly be at a loss of words for my own works if I couldn't write in true-to-life events. Hang in there. :)
