Driving BlindA Poem by Girl With A PenA poem about life's journeyUnable to see the road ahead The misguided should be the one who is led But don't confuse the blind to be the misguided lack The road I see is always black The images I picture is seeing what's described My eyes may look open but to the world they are closed But blindness is a new sight In which the world grows With blindness there is no difference between dark and light Blindness is an eternal rest for my eyesight With or without eyes It may not be easy to walk a straight line For we are not as blind as the fools who miss stop signs The light is the darkness of another color All that's left is our sense But our voices grow smaller The eyes that could once drive can no longer see My eyes maybe lost But I am still me Driving has nothing to do with your size And a million people drive better with blind eyes Blindness is no different than those who don't use their mind Perhaps I am not the one who is driving blind
