Mama

Mama

A Poem by Angelica
"

A sad story about a child but still, found happiness inside of her.

"
            Mama
By: Angelica Acolicol
I was once a toddler,
A crying baby that is longing for her mother.
Time passes by,
Still I haven't found her.
"Oh Mama, where did you go?"
"My melancholy heart awaits me so"
In the interim, waiting is the act I no longer care,
"Cause I found happiness that has something good to bear,
It's my grandmother who saved me from sadness,
The person whom I cried for my mother's longingness
How blessed and wonderful I am!
I already found my one and only mother.

I believe at some point in time, with or without our parents, we learn how to carry ourselves. It's not easy, but it is a long and personal journey one has to walk alone. Everything falls into place eventually, and we learn to love and appreciate ourselves and the ones that cared enough to stay. It's quite s****y, but I get it. I know what it's like to not have your parents around; being utterly alone in your childhood years. Glad you have your grandma to take care of you, an angel. Thank you for sharing.
