Fake Smiles, Strangers, and Actors of Everyday

Fake Smiles, Strangers, and Actors of Everyday

A Poem by AngelicVoicedRiver

Sometimes I put on a smile even strangers don't believe,
Tears that just won't stream,
I can't comprehend how a heartbreak could be so sweet...
How could I smile when my heart is broken?
Maybe it's just you,
You who makes my world spin,
You who makes air worth breathing,
Only this being I can call, "Love"
Love, not as an emotion,
Love, as a person, a soul-mate,
You're ignorant of my feelings,
And you can't understand this lines that I speak,
You are perfect in every way that matters,
And I come out short,
No wonder everything,
Is coming out from under me...
How could someone have my every dream, and want more?
Maybe it's just for show,
And this stranger is saying your smile is fake,
Your life an act,
So others don't see,
That you're exactly like me...
