Memories Washing Ashore

Memories Washing Ashore

A Poem by Brandon Jursich
"

Don't let love fade away while you have it

"
The tree in my head grows poison fruit as my mind begins to rot. How I long for your presence every night I lay awake unable to sleep, you are deeply on my thoughts. I don't care if the world is falling apart let me build my life so you can be a part of it, fate kept me around so I may continue to tell my story and I refuse to waste another chapter without you. I can't tell you how I feel and that's why my desire may be premature, am I just an impatient fool and my loneliness tells me to take a chance at ripping my heart out again. In an endless tunnel of uninteresting women you continue to be my light, you don't have to tell me you love me I can dream that you do because it may be written upon the stars and that's what i feed my hope with. Walk with me along the sand and hold my hand as we watch the waves bring new memories of our love Ashore. You will have the ocean and I will have the light of the moon in the night sky.

In our thoughts through the night we soldier on just to be with the one most significant to us. And the distance could sometimes be an entire gulf and their meeting when the light of the moon kiss the crystal waters and sparkle in that dark night. Good stuff here. Much enjoyed.
