Sweet Oxygen

Sweet Oxygen

A Poem by Angelreads

It's that little ringing in the back of your head,
that small noise that never lets you forget the bad.
The things you hear can never be truly said,
because who will love you when you think you're dead.

You're consumed by the pain,
drowning because you can.
You've forgot what it's like to be sane,
the future, no longer a plan.

So in the midst of the crowd,
you'll put on a smile.
Make mommy and daddy proud,
try to gasp for air,
at least for a little while.
