Foolish

Foolish

A Poem by Angelreads

How can we love what we don’t have?

So few cherish the unknown when what we need is right in front of us

You don’t recognize the blessing until it has been stripped away

Until you are left with nothing

We pity ourselves and blame the others

We blame the man who killed himself over a lost lover and a forgotten child

Why do we deserve love when so many others aren’t even fortunate to know the word

Oh pity, pity

Pity the humans who wail in the essence of nothing

Who praise the things and don’t glorify

Do we deserve such thought?

NO!

I say damn us all

Give some better off species a chance of survival

Or is that too much to ask of such selfish creatures

Oh well, we will eventually kill us all

With our power seeking and lust filled souls

There wont be any of us left.
