Unforgotten

Unforgotten

A Story by Angel Charles
"

A short story on memories.

"

You can not simply forget. You can't. No matter how many years pass, you can't just forget all of the bad things that happens to be in your memory.

You can't forget the expression on a loved one's face as she stares at death. You can't forget the burning sensation of pain running all over your body. You can't forget the guilt. You can't forget you thoughts you had.

I will forever hold the memory that my family died in a burning house. That I should have died along with them, that I could have done something.

It’s my fault.

This was really good, and it had a lot of strength to it despite its shortness. I liked how it told of a past memory that still seemed to continue to haunt them.
