Chapter OneA Chapter by Angel CharlesChapter One Dustin's POV "Mr. Tyrone sir, I am sorry to say, but with hiring a new employee, there is more paper work to be done, and to go through," I heard Gregory Hansen, my butler, say. "If you were sorry, I wouldn't hear a smile in your voice Gregory," this made him chuckle. It was almost 11pm, the time I usually check what's on the news and such, but I had to hirer new people for my families company. MY company. "Of course," was his reply. "Hand the papers please," he passed them over, and I got started. Name: Cliff Sean Age: 23 Accounting Experience: 5 years There we go, I needed an accountant because I am completely lost in that department. Five years, not bad. "So you knew that I couldn't keep up in that department eh?" I asked with a chuckle, turning to him, I saw he had a small smile n his lips, and his eyes were smiling. "You never did listen to me as I was teaching you accounting when you hired me," so he was going by how bad I was back then. "Well, this will improve our sales and such," my company worked with many different partners, owns many different buildings and has many different stores, clubs, and sponsors man different things. Good accountant skills is needed. "Yes, how would DT company work?" He was making fun of me. Again. "Mr. Hansen, I'll be home late, please make sure. A have something to eat when I return," I dismissed him. "Of course Mr. Tyrone," and with that he left. I returned to my paperwork, doing it automatically, not really seeing what I was doing. Cliff Sean. Why is that name so familiar? Eh, oh well, can't be too important if I can't remember it. After I had finished most of the work, it was 1am. Stretching, I picked up my jacket that was hanging n the back of my chair and put it on, grabbing my car keys from the pocket. I then walked out of my office, a highly decorated room, that was big enough for a small house to fit it snugly. I just like my rooms roomy. I stepped out of my office, into a hallway leading to a elevator. Once I was out of the building, I walked straight to my Porsche right across the street. Opening the door, I turned it on. I do this all with out realize what I am doing, easily lost in blankness as I had gotten so used to do then, I can't remember even doing it. Cliff Sean. Where have I heard that name before? It shouldn't bother me, but it bugs me. I mean, why does it sound so familiar exactly? Why can't I remember? Once I get home, I'll ask Gregory to do a background check on him. Cliff's POV "Your going to be working for your high school fling?" One of my friends from work was screaming in my ear, an action that was defiantly not needed as we were at my house. It was just after 1, I really don't know why he is still here. "Yes, I told that already," I told him sighing. "Yeah, but do you think he'll remember you? What's his name again?" Lake asked. Looked at him dumbfounded. Told him five times n the past ten minutes. His blue eyes were wide with excitement, his hair falling around his face, making his cheek bones more defined. "Dustin Tyrone," I sad after sighing. "THE DUSTIN TYRONE, THE MULTI-BILLIONAIRE, ALMOST A TRILLIONAIRE?" Oh god, what was with this guy and screaming? "I told you to stop screaming didn't I?" I asked him. It wasn't meant to be answered, all the more reason to answer it to him I suppose. "I don't recall you saying anything," he chuckled. "So, are you excited?" He asked me suddenly. "Why would I be excited?" I asked him. "Because, you get to see a past love... To be honest, your only love as I never seen you be a relationship since we met... About two years ago," he stated. "Last time I saw him, he was crying because I was breaking it off," I couldn't help but to smile. I had the poor boy wrapped around my finger. "You mean he was the bottom-," "Yes, now can we changed the subject?" I asked him. "Aww, you do have feelings! Look at how red your cheeks are!" He was laughing. My cheeks weren't red! I reached up to feel them, making him laugh even harder, and my cheeks ever warmer. Oh great. "Wouldn't it be just great if you two got back together? I mean that'd be cute!," he had the same wild excitement in his eyes. Where did a 25 year guy that works full time get all of this energy? I mean he was 2 years older than me, yet it seemed he was a teenager. "I asked if we can talk about something else," I reminded him. "And I didn't care," he replied. "I'm tired, please get out of my house," he suddenly stopped and looked a me. "What? Oh come on! It's only...um... What time is it?" I checked my watch. "Half past one," I told him. "Aww, I got to get up at six," he groaned getting up and collecting his things. "Drink a cup of coffee, and you'll be bouncing of the walls," I muttered. "Great! So I can stay longer," I groaned. "I wasn't being serious, so go home you idiot," I told him. "Fine, ooh, when do you start work?" He asked. "Well, if I am accepted, in a day or two, I don't know, Mr. Hansen didn't specifically say," Lake nodded before waving and leaving. Odd. I cleaned up a little before getting not bed. I wonder if Dustin remembers me? If he does, would he still be wrapped around my finger? Or disgusted? Dustin's POV "High school fling huh?" Gregory seemed uncomfortable, which of course I had to laugh at his discomfort. "Yes Gregory, I had a gay relationship with no one knowing, then again, it wouldn't have mattered if i was gay or not, the company didn't exist, i mean i don't think the idea was with me back then, and no Gregory my parents didn't come up with this company, they just helped bring it in the air," I said, mostly to myself, I mean I was the one who came up with it, my initials were the company's logo and name. "Don't worry Mr. Tyrone, I am fully aware," of course he is. "So that is why Cliff Sean sound so familiar, well, now that I know, I am off to eat, then probably going to catch up on some drinking," I was being honest here. "That is not a good idea, seeing as you will be meeting the people you have hired, tomorrow at 9am," Gregory informed me. "Aww, why so early, you know I am not good in the mornings, why'd you think I'd rather work at night?" Yeah, complaining billionaire over here. "Maybe if you didn't work so late, you'd be compatible in the mornings," he laughed. "Yeah yeah, whatever... Where's my food man?" he laughed at my sudden question. "It's coming, and here it is," a maid came in with a cart of dinner. Chicken, looks delicious. "Thank you, you can go home you know," I told the maid with a chuckle. The name at read Madeline, and she turned a bright red when I sad that. An effect I have with ladies, for my looks, or for my money, mostly both though. "Yes sir," she said before leaving. "Are you still going to hire Cliff sir?" I heard Gregory ask. "Of course, I don't feel anything towards him anymore, I don't think hiring him will be a problem," I replied no doubt in my mind. "Yes, okay, but what about what he feels?" There Gregory goes again, raining on my parade. "Gregory, go home already," this of course made him laugh. "Yes sir," he said before leaving the room. Now, tomorrow I have to wake up early, I should set my alarm clock. Maybe not, I might not have to with Gregory around. With that thought, I climbed into my master bed and fell asleep. 9:30 AM I woke with a sudden feeling I was late. You know, just my intuition. After I read my clock, I knew that I was going to have a bunch of new employees on my a*s about spoiled arrogant rich boys. Whatever. I shot out of bed, and hurriedly took a shower. Combing through my blonde with my fingers, I didn't really look too much on the mess on my head before getting dressed. I placed on a pair of needed glasses over my blue eyes, because I really can't take the time to put in my contacts. I then took whatever the maid that was right outside my bedroom door, was reaching towards me. It was my car keys and wallet. Oh yeah, I think I might have left the in the kitchen last night. I ran out to the garage going through the mansion of a place in under five minutes, new record. I went to my Porsche was out of there rather quickly. Now Gregory is going to be smiling and grinning at my lateness, how thoughtful of him. Once I arrived, I was greeted by the secretary, but I just ran past her, towards the elevator. I could have sworn I seen a smile on her face. Damn you Gregory. "Sorry I'm late I uhh...' I walked into the meeting room which was obviously silent before I came in, and realized, I hadn't come up with a good excuse, sleeping was not acceptable. Damn it. Why can't I think of excuses while I was hurrying around? "Yes Mr. Tyrone, where were you that you had to arrive late this morning?" Gregory asked, a few chuckles went around. I know it was childish, but I couldn't help but to glare at him. "Oh nothing, just doing business," I said, the first thing that came to mind. Not very good at all. "Moving on, this as you all know, is your new boss, multi-billionaire and onwer DT Company, Mr. Dustin Tyrone," Gregory introduced me. I bowed. One must bow after being introduced like that. Hang on, aren't they suppose to bow? Wait, who are they? To be honest, I didn't know anyone, I mean I knew names, okay, some names, but not the faces. I hope they introduce themselves. "Mr. Tyrone is there something you want to say? You have a questioned look on your face," Gregory was grinning. Why does he always do that? I guess I could fire him... But then there would be no fun. Cliff's POV After Mr. Hansen said that, when I looked back to Dustin, he did have a puzzling look on his face. "Just... Err," there was a sudden knock on the door before someone entered. He was wearing a black suit with matching black slacks and tie. "Good to see you again Mr. Dustin, but I don't believe we finished talking before you left," he said in such a voice that he meant authority. "Ahh yes, Mr. ... Sir," Dustin replied, and this is the company's owner? "It's Vernice West," Mr. West said, obviously irritated. "Oh, Vernie! How ya been?" It's almost an embarrassment. I never seen this side of him before, I suppose he really did change a lot. Damn it, I told myself not to bring that up! "Very well sir, I was wondering-," he was interrupted by Dustin. "Sorry Vernie, I am currently in a meeting, we'll take this later," I don't think I would have ever said that to Mr. West in a million years. "Very well, we will discuss this over lunch then," Dustin waved him off and Mr. West left. "He's too persistent," he sighed. "He's still in here," he was just out the door, but the door was still closing. "Damn it!" Dustin's reply made us laugh, but it was Mr. Hansen who he glared at. I don't think that Dustin takes his job very seriously, at all. And now he's my boss, and worst? I don't think he remembers me. Or maybe my feelings are the worst? Wait no, I can't be attached to him, what the hell am I thinking? "Mr Cliff Sean, you will be Mr. Dustin Tyrone's main accountant, I know this is a big-" Dustin suddenly cut him of. "This is a big opportunity for him Gregory, I'm pretty sure the answer is going to be yes," their conversation flipped me out of my daze. As i looked around, everyone seemed to have left, I got up. "So you're going to leave us while we are discussing your work position? How irresponsible," I turned to look at Dustin. "You're not one to talk Mr. Tyrone," Mr. Hansen said, I had to laugh at that, seeing as it was something I would say, just not to my boss sadly. "I accept the responsibilities of being irresponsible," was his reply. "Say it like that, and it makes you sound responsible," Mr. Hansen laughed. Their relationship must be pretty good, if a butler can say that to his boss. "Of course it does," I am getting kind of tired of listening to them. "So.." they both turned to me. "Yes Mr... Mr," "Sean," Mr. Hansen let a grin on his face as Mr Tyrone... I mean Dustin shot a glare at him. "What have you seen exactly Gregory?" I had to let a laugh at that. "No Mr. Tyrone, his last name is Sean," Mr. Hansen argued. "Proper English would be 'his last name HAS seen' Gregory, and what exactly has his last name seen?" This is getting ridiculous. "Anyways, your position will be Mr. Tyrone's accountant, so you will be on the floor below us, so floor 19, room 3," I turned to him. "And what exactly will this job consist of?" I asked. "Your job will consist of Mr. Tyrone's old work, his accounting work he does every day," I nodded. If the billionaire is making someone else do this work, there must not be that much, I mean I don't think it would be. "I will give you all the paperwork of this year, so you can get an idea, also, my accounting work comes in daily, so you will have to come to get it at my office on arrival, lunch, then at 5," hang on, how long does he expect me to work each day? "I only worked on it about 3 hours at night, about from 8:30 ish to 11, or 11:00 ish, so it's not that much actually," Did I really just say that out loud? "Yes, yes you did, do you always do this?" Dustin was sitting in the chair across the room, and he got up, heading towards the door. I couldn't help but to glare at his back. "I'm sorry about his lies," My head whipped to my left where Mr. Hansen's blue eyes seem to soften. "What lies?" I asked. What could he have possibly just lied about? "When he said there wasn't a lot of accounting to do, it only took him 3 hours because I taught him, but he still had trouble with the concept of if you get one thing wrong, you have to go back and restart, he get's one thing wrong on his at least 2 times a week, yet he still managed to finish his work on his usual time. My point is that, even though he was able to get it done int 3 hours, you might need all the time you can get," I gave him a puzzling look. I don't ever remember Dustin being the good at numbers kind of boy. "I will give you what Dustin had promised in the morning of tomorrow, which also makes you start work tomorrow, if you don't mind of course," his words sounded alright, but it kind of gave you the feeling of, 'if you don't arrive tomorrow to start, you're out'. "Yes of course, I'll be here," he smiled and gave a nod. "If you just follow me, I can show you to your new office before you leave," he offered. "Sure," having nothing else to say. Dustin defiantly changed, he is not the timid boy I've always known him to be. How was he able to bounce back into place after I left him? I mean, i feel bad about it and all, but even I know that I am not over it. Yet he probably got laid over a thousand times, and become an accountant. While I never had a relationship, never really thought about it, and went to school for 3 years, then worked for 2. During that time, he changed. Why do I feel hurt and jealous over this? Over what? I don't know. Dustin's POV I walked out of the main meeting office that was on floor 20. My floor. I hurriedly went to room 6, which was the food room. I really had no idea what to call it, so it became the food room. There was a quick knock before someone entered the room. I didn't both turning as I headed straight for the table in the middle, that was full of food that I never finish. "You seem to have quite the feast," I heard Vernice's voice say. "Oh yes, want some?" I asked him. "I wanted to talk to you about the business," He told me, taking a seat at the un-needed table on the other side of the room. This room was a simple square room, with fancy paintings on the walls, vending machines, pop machines and such clouding one of the walls, and the other side consisted of very un-needed tables, I mean this food room was only meant from me. "What of it?" I asked, grabbing a plate. "I want to buy it," he really won't stop will he? "Good joke, now what did you really want?" I asked him, grabbing some fries. "I'm being serious," I just rolled my eyes as I poured gravy on my fires. I headed over and grabbed some dessert, a cheese cake. Yup, see I never really finish anything. "You understand how much this would cost right?" I asked him. There was another knock on the door. "Come in," I went and sat on a chair, 4 seats from Vernice. In came Cliff. Oh that reminds me, I should go cliff diving, it seems fun. "Yes what is it?" I asked him. His eyes went from me, to the table of food, then to me, then to the food, his eyes wide. "Yes, there is a crap load of food on a table, I mean this is the food room... Mainly for me, but everyone seems to enjoy disturbing me," I sighed. "Sorry Mr. Tyrone, Mr. Hansen sent me here. He told me that tell you that Miss Sandra is here to see you," Miss Sandra... Who was that again? Then a girl that looked like she was in her teens was at the door. She had red hair, and looked very pissed off. Okay think, what did I do recently that would have a teenager girl pissed off at me? I don't even... wait she kind looks familiar, maybe? "YOU HOOKED UP WITH MY SISTER, DUMPED HER AND NOW SHE'S PREGNANT," Oh, that is a very good explanation. Jogs my memory. © 2013 Angel CharlesAuthor's Note
