Eternity

Eternity

A Poem by Ian Hammond

Music exploded like our hearts that night

The whisper of your voice calling to me

It felt like I had control, but you knew otherwise

Your eyes screamed adventure, and I echoed back

The spell of yours caught me up in a windstorm

Music blaring, incense drifting, the sweet cold air

Ecstasy I never felt before, igniting my soul

My grip on reality fading fast, your grip on me tightening

That miracle turned its back by the end,

Too much to comprehend, it all blurred, that night
