Day of Silence

Day of Silence

A Poem by AngelAfterlife

People left and right

Why cant they see the real me?

They see my fake smile

They see my fake emotion

But they dont see my tears

They dont see my pain

Blood runs down my wrist

as i try to wonder why,

Why can they except me

for me..

I'm not like others

I dont go by the book,

God said loving the same sex is a sin

But i dont see how it can be...

As my mind wonders

what is to become

She came into my life

like an angel entering heaven.

She smiled and giggled

and took me as i am.

She held my hand and

said she can understand.

My mother said she

hated the fact i was a bisexual

She thought it was just

a phase

But i know in my

heart that its more than that.

So as i finally end

this poem of pain

all i have to

finally say is

Let love flow threw

the vains in your body,

Let the world judge and

hate you....

You are a child of god

so take a day of silence

for those who can stand up

and speak today

I completely agree. I partook in day of silence. You are a great poet... I was actually reprimanded by someone yesterday for supporting the ambiguity of sexuality. Why would God condemn love?? He doesn't. God created people differently for a reason. It's what makes us great... unique. Thanks for this piece, I really enjoyed it.

I agree with this COMPLETELY! It doesn't matter if you're black white or purple, you're still the same person you were before and it should matter if you're boy or girl. Brillant

Hell yes! Individuality is important and so is the voice :) The voice has power, so many people forget that! xx
