Chain of Sorrow

Chain of Sorrow

A Poem by Angelus Fortitudo
"

Trapped, want to hate but I won't I cant. I suppose this is my fate... Only love could do this. This is my chain...

"

I'm crying and I'm screaming
I'm laughing then singing
All of these are the extremeties you bring me
I've never been the type to hate
But it's times like these that make me wanna say it
I hate you
Even though I don't really mean it.

The anger, the sadness.
I could just drown
But I won't, I can't
Cuz I'm stronger than that.
Or am I?

I wish I didn't have to be.
Wish I could just be protected and safe
But what can I do?
I love you.
So I'll sit here and wallow in my shame.
My weakness, that never should have come to light

But what more is there?
My cries my anguish?
Can you hear my tears?

As the fall, drip drop.

They slide down my cheeks.
But in your happiness that's fine.
For what does mine even matter?
