Mein verlorenes Ich / My lost I / Mon Je perdu

Mein verlorenes Ich / My lost I / Mon Je perdu

A Poem by Angel Bird
"

German-English-French Poem/ Since we are a part of Nature, we can only find our true I's within undisturbed Nature.

"

This is a German rhyming poem and behind it you can find the English and French translation. I hope you enjoy...

Mein verlorenes Ich

Sanft erwacht die Natur

Luft so klar und pur

Tau im Morgengrau glitzert

Vogelschar munter zwitschert

Geruch von feuchter Erde

In weiter Ferne wilde Pferde

Ein Gefühl von Einheit

Man spürt's in aller Klarheit

Pflanzen und Blumen

Geduckt zum Ruhen

Jetzt sich langsam erheben

Erwachen zu neuem Leben

Laue Sonnenstrahlen sie berühren

Sie zum Duften zu verführen

Nicht weit von der Hütte

Durch Felsen, Steine und Klüfte

Hör und seh ich den Wildbach rauschen

Möcht mit niemandem jetzt tauschen

Tiere und Pflanzen

Und Ich - ein Stück vom Ganzen

Erde, Wasser und Luft

Ein einmaliger Duft

Sonne, Mond und Sterne

In ach so weiter Ferne

°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°

My lost I

Softly Nature awakens

Air so clear and pure

At dawn dew glistens

Bird's perkily twitter

Odor of moist soil

Far away wild horses

A feeling of unity

One can clearly sense

Plants and flowers

Ducked down for rest

Now slowly lift

Awaken to new life

Tepid sunrays touching them

To entice to be fragrant

Not far from the chalet

Through rocks, stones and chasms

I hear and see the beck swooshing

Wouldn't trade places with anyone now

Animals and plants

And I - a piece of the whole

Soil, water and air

A unique scent

Sun, moon and stars

in oh such distance

Universes that full of wisdom are

And I feel freedom like a child

My thoughts I finally hear again

And here I'm not disturbing anyone with them

Nature perceptibly is here at might

Why have I spend all these years in town

Here I let Nature guide me

Finally feeling my  ' I '  again

°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°

Mon Je perdu

Author's Note

Angel Bird
The English piece of course loses a lot of the rhyming and flow because its just a translation, but I wanted everyone not versed in the German language to understand the meaning and content. La pice en franais naturellement perd beaucoup du genre pome parce-que c'est seulement une traduction du pome allemand, mais je voulais que tout le monde n'tant pas vers en allemand puisse comprendre le contenu.

Beautiful.
I like the way that you posted it in three different languages, it's quite uncommon.
Nature can also be called simple because it is very easily found but it can also be the opposite because it unites many types of life.
The ,,delicate,, manor of it makes it very enjoyable to read.

Thank you for posting this in my ,,Simple things,, contest.

This is very beautiful, even before taking into account what rhythm may be lost in translation.
At any rate, rhyme isn't what makes the poem. Neither is format.
The poem is very simple, and that definitely adds to the quality.

Very nice poem, interesting to see it posted in three different languages. I take it you understand all three? My brother reckons you made a mistake in the translation for French, but he's probably wrong

I tried to read the poem in the 2 other languages, while I may have not understood it whatsoever until reading the translation it was a great piece. I loved your opening, it really struck a chord, displayed the beauty in a perfect way:

Softly Nature awakens
Air so clear and pure

At dawn dew glistens
Bird's perkily twitter

Odor of moist soil
Far away wild horses

A feeling of unity
One can clearly sense

Plants and flowers
Ducked down for rest

Your description and flow is great, your use of words in all languages is mature and wonderful. I understand that flow can be lost in translation, I one time writing a poem in English and Spanish, but the flow I catch in all the languages is very well done. The rhyming is not something I ever look for in a poem, its the way it flows on the page that is important. Thanks for the great read.

This is one of the most unusual poems i have every read and i congratulate you on it. Do you speak fluent german, english and french because to make a poem fit in three languages is quite extraodinary. Well done.

"Here I let Nature guide me /Finally feeling my ' I ' again" - Wonderful!
- and it flows and has music and smels and testures even in english!
(at least in "my" way of reading it!)
