Mein verlorenes Ich / My lost I / Mon Je perdu

Mein verlorenes Ich / My lost I / Mon Je perdu

A Poem by Angel Bird
"

German-English-French Poem/ Since we are a part of Nature, we can only find our true I's within undisturbed Nature.

"

This is a German rhyming poem and behind it you can find the English and French translation. I hope you enjoy...

Mein verlorenes Ich

Sanft erwacht die Natur

Luft so klar und pur

Tau im Morgengrau glitzert

Vogelschar munter zwitschert

Geruch von feuchter Erde

In weiter Ferne wilde Pferde

Ein Gefühl von Einheit

Man spürt's in aller Klarheit

Pflanzen und Blumen

Geduckt zum Ruhen

Jetzt sich langsam erheben

Erwachen zu neuem Leben

Laue Sonnenstrahlen sie berühren

Sie zum Duften zu verführen

Nicht weit von der Hütte

Durch Felsen, Steine und Klüfte

Hör und seh ich den Wildbach rauschen

Möcht mit niemandem jetzt tauschen

Tiere und Pflanzen

Und Ich - ein Stück vom Ganzen

Erde, Wasser und Luft

Ein einmaliger Duft

Sonne, Mond und Sterne

In ach so weiter Ferne

°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°

My lost I

Softly Nature awakens

Air so clear and pure

At dawn dew glistens

Bird's perkily twitter

Odor of moist soil

Far away wild horses

A feeling of unity

One can clearly sense

Plants and flowers

Ducked down for rest

Now slowly lift

Awaken to new life

Tepid sunrays touching them

To entice to be fragrant

Not far from the chalet

Through rocks, stones and chasms

I hear and see the beck swooshing

Wouldn't trade places with anyone now

Animals and plants

And I - a piece of the whole

Soil, water and air

A unique scent

Sun, moon and stars

in oh such distance

Universes that full of wisdom are

And I feel freedom like a child

My thoughts I finally hear again

And here I'm not disturbing anyone with them

Nature perceptibly is here at might

Why have I spend all these years in town

Here I let Nature guide me

Finally feeling my  ' I '  again

°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°§°

Mon Je perdu

Author's Note

Angel Bird
The English piece of course loses a lot of the rhyming and flow because its just a translation, but I wanted everyone not versed in the German language to understand the meaning and content.

Beautiful.
I like the way that you posted it in three different languages, it's quite uncommon.
Nature can also be called simple because it is very easily found but it can also be the opposite because it unites many types of life.
The ,,delicate,, manor of it makes it very enjoyable to read.

Thank you for posting this in my ,,Simple things,, contest.

Nice it really dose have a magnificent flow to it and creative adding the many languages. The writing was all and all very descriptive and it felt very much mellow as nature itself really is. You did an excellent job for it was very enjoyable in a peaceful way.

Ein sehr schönes Gedicht. Wenn ich nur auf Deutsch gedichten könnte... it is such a rhythmic and rhyme-rich language. And the rhymes here are gentle and perfect. And I particularly like the internal rhyme of „Tau im Morgengrau” and near rhyme/assonance of “In weiter Ferne wilde Pferde” There are some wonderful natural world images and feelings in this poem:

Durch Felsen, Steine und Klüfte

Hör und seh ich den Wildbach rauschen
Möcht mit niemandem jetzt tauschen

...and I love the way you become one with the landscape and the space it offers (spreading out into the “weiter Ferne”), turning away from the city.

Translations or not, I found them both admirable.
Its such a pity I don't know German. But that was a nice idea - post in all three languages as often as you can, so that everyone can read your work.

Thank you for the amazing poem. I use to speak some German 30 years ago when I was station there. To know many languages would open the door to wonderful things and words. A beautiful poem. Thank you.

In any language, it is a beautiful sentiment. I would say yes, vowels and constanants and the mechanics of poetry, are about a specific languages portrayal. Yet poetry, is I 'feel', mostly fron the heart Angel Bird.
Congradulations, on this award winning poetry of such soul!
I was moved by its imagery... in English.
AWESOME... Romon

Though i understand only the English version of this poem, i can very well sense the beauty of the place, and the serenity in the poem.... a lovely one...
