something I wrote long ago

Rain all day, rain all night, just go ahead and steal my light.

Let your dark clouds give me fright and take away all my light.

Is it too much to ask for a little shimmer?

Cause this cold air is making me shiver.

We could use some of your rain where we live. I know that some people suffer from a medical condition when there are many dark, cloudy days. So they sometimes use sun lamps for more light and wear warmer clothes if they feel cold. And get out of the rain! Anyway, it's a fun poem, simple to read and understand. These kinds of poems are needed and certainly have their place.
