Didn't See This Coming

Sorry this has taken me so long, been rather busy.

'So strange how one could miss everyday things, how one thinks about the people they miss, hurt, loved, and cared for. To think that something like this could actually happen to anyone, that someone could be going through the pain...'

"Of the most heart breaking brake up ever!" A seventeen year old girl cried to her high school English class causing everyone to moan. For once there was actually something worth listening too, and she went and ruined it. The teacher pinched the side of her nose in frustration, annoyed with the girl only caring about herself and no one else in the world.

"Thank you Miss. Anderson, please sit down now." trying to stop the girl before she could continue. "But I didn't get-" "I said sit down or it's a weeks detention for not listening." the teacher warned. The girl walked back to her seat and sat down with a sigh. The class smiled in favor of the teacher stopping the story before it could continue, but was upset to remember that they had other work to do.

When the class finally ended the teacher wished everyone a happy weekend, but asked Miss. Anderson to stay a while. "Yes Ma'am?"

"Selena the paper was to be a 'made up story' you know coming up with your own charters, story line. I was really hoping you had finally come up with something good, that wasn't about you." The teacher explained.

Selena looked down a little bit not wanting to met the teachers gaze. "What happened you had something there you had the classes full focus on you, which is more then I can do as you well know." She asked her.

"Just nothing could come to mind Ms. Smith, I honestly didn't right that last line down." She said and pulled out her note book showing the teacher. It was true the last line she cried out was not there. Ms. Smith looked up at her and sighed. 

"I'll tell you what i'm going to do, I'm going to give you the weekend to come up with a story and have you re-tell it to the class, I know you can come up with something Selena." She smiled causing Selena to perk up some what. 

"Oh thank you Ms. Smith thank you i promise I'll do better this time." She promised and made her way to the door causing Ms. Smith to chuckle someone and finish grading papers.

As Selena made her way home, music in her ears, she didn't notice that her street was completely empty, nor did she hear the car slowly coming up behind her. The windows of the car were heavily tainted, there were no plates, and was a black van. It pulled to a stop and two men jumped out coming up and grabbing her.

She let out a scream as she was being pulled back to the van, one of the guys placed a cloth over her mouth that was covered in something. She felt her eyes grow heavy, and soon blacked out, going limp in the kidnappers arms. Throwing her in the shut the door and road off the only thing left behind was her bag, and her story sticking out from the top with the lines reading.

'She never saw it coming...'

as a teacher, i can feel how Mrs Smith felt when Selena disturbed the class specially while the teacher is getting the students concentration. i really like how you have written this short story..
