Once AgainA Poem by Aneto
May I linger once again
Within this fond embrace Where whispers breeze across my skin A peaceful, quiet, restful place At last my lad has found his home His heart of youth in bloom Unearth the dusty, ancient tome Rebirthed from history's tomb The letters shine from every page Now seen in light of all we know While hope breaks free from hatred's cage To ransom disappointment's blow We reach toward the sunset sky Whose beauty speaks of Thee We choose to fix our inward eye Upon the Truth that sets us free May my heart show kindness to The wounds no eye can see With tender love no matter who The one in need may be Even when Once again The hurting one is me © 2024 Aneto |
