Dewdrops

Dewdrops

A Poem by Aneto

Drops of dew
Upon the grass
Each morning new
His mercies glisten
Calling lonely
Hearts who pass
If they would only
Stop to listen

They would hear
The tune of grace
Sparkling here
In beads of light
Manna came
Without a trace
And just the same
It graced their sight

Give us, Lord
This daily bread
Life restored
As day by day
The daylight rises
From the dead
And dark disguises
Flee away

Our bodies bathe
In Gilead's balm
Our precious faith
To shield us from
The deadly vermin
Met with calm
As dew from Hermon
Life will come

~ ~ ~

Fashion now my attitude
Which oft ignores this grateful view
My heart endow with gratitude
For metaphors in morning's dew

This sounds like a Psalm.

It certainly has several phrases from various Psalms sprinkled throughout it. Nice noticing!
