ReminiscingA Poem by Aneto
I longed to share your world
Your world brought such delight Delight and joy unfurled Unfurling petals bright Brightly shone our smiles Our smiles a fond embrace Embrace creative styles Styles of childlike grace Graceful, fleeting years Years of being friends Friendship met with tears Tears for how it ends It ends with just a word Words unspoken felt Felt a wound incurred Incurred the blame we dealt We dealt with pain and loss And loss infused our joy Our joy now free from dross Dross He must destroy Destroyed the friendly blaze Blaze a path prolonged Prolong the missing days Days for which I longed
