Letting GoA Poem by Aneto
Yahweh has given a wonderful gift
The right to allow Him to work in our lives To give Him these burdens we struggle to lift Releasing control as each new day arrives For so many reasons, I grasp what I hold Unwilling that seasons would leave so soon I tightly shut my heart and told The Master what he must not prune The gifts He has given will not be revoked Indeed, He won’t force us to choose what is best With striving and vanity we shall be yoked Unless we, the weary, collapse and find rest Gracious and tender, the Father receives Each prodigal child for whom His heart grieves So let it all go as we empty our hands Relinquish our key to escape His commands The choice we were given can only bring good When choosing surrender the way that we should (Epilogue) These hands have held So many things My eyes beheld Its shimmered wings It mustn’t stay I mustn’t hold This hope at bay But let it go Unclasp my grip It’s perched upon My fingertip And now it’s gone © 2024 AnetoReviews
