FaithA Poem by AnetoIn
patience and rest God’s
fragrance is here The
sun finds the west And
unwinds our fear A
gust of wind would guide her there And
thrust a friend to hide his care The
tender maid, in dust and pain To
render aid, he must refrain For
time alone can heal her wound His
primal groan when feeling pruned Her
open gashes scar with skin As
hope would lash his heart again Her
songs at night: humility He longs for sight, but will he see? So
clinging dearly to their Lord Through
singing tears, the two adored The
sovereign Spirit, gently heard They’d
often hear it when it stirred At
dawn, the daughter cast her bread Upon
the water, fast it fled The
son foreknew hope’s vapor vain Yet
once more threw a paper plane As
each in kind must start what is To
teach and bind their heart to His This
tale may end, mistakes may show But
failures tend to make us grow For
wisdom knows the reasons why As
rhythms flow and seasons die That
when our whims and plans are killed It’s
then our empty hands are filled With
treasure free from moth or rust Forever
we our Father trust No
test or fleece, but straight we trod To
rest in peace and wait on God © 2023 Aneto |
