The Blossom

The Blossom

A Poem by Aneto

Precious flower, tell me, oh bloom
How has our friendship fared?
The winter's distance gave you room
To deepen your roots unimpaired
But do you remember, before the frost
The joysome moments we shared?
For I, through sacrificial cost
Have always greatly cared
As all your petals now unfold
If you're still unaware
The way you've touched me must be told
My secret thus I bare
Forever my delight has been
To treasure as you share
Each facet of your life within
That blossoms bright and fair
In light of this I now must ask
Would you accept my love declared
To soak in sunlight, bloom and bask
In the clearing my lad has prepared
