Precious flower, tell me, oh bloom
How has our friendship fared? The winter's distance gave you room To deepen your roots unimpaired But do you remember, before the frost The joysome moments we shared? For I, through sacrificial cost Have always greatly cared As all your petals now unfold If you're still unaware The way you've touched me must be told My secret thus I bare Forever my delight has been To treasure as you share Each facet of your life within That blossoms bright and fair In light of this I now must ask Would you accept my love declared To soak in sunlight, bloom and bask In the clearing my lad has prepared
