She Held Hands With DecemberA Poem by Andy LewisA quick tale of love
The frost...
Slow how the frost moves, across the last blooms. A piece of this world that will never see the moon. She stumbled and stared at the passing lights. She danced and she bared all her fears to the night. Her lips locked moments with years on the line. Her skin blushed pigments of reds and of whites. She held hands with December, at her worlds last night. Slow how the frost moves, across the tombs hold. The part of the world that has left us in cold. Her steps were in vain, our tears keep us calm. We plead guilty to love at the end of the song. Our dreams broke hangups like stones on the pond. Our hope left rings on the eve of our dawn. She held hands with December, at her worlds last night. She held hands with December, on a loves last try.….…. -How cold a love can seem- © 2015 Andy Lewis |
