Lila

Lila

A Poem by Andy Lewis
"

The one who I must hate

"
I'm still the enemy, the bad guy without a doubt. Giving peace to calamity, the soulless grieve, they shout.
Love still a burden, I touch still hurting.
Forever, I'll learn...
Lila...
Heaven is full, of sinners and saints.
The angels of hell, deciding our fate.
Even now the war machines are, turning.
Forever, I'll learn.
Lila….
Come touch my palms...
Let them explain.
My guilt, my torment and my pain.
The gutwrench is foul, and churning.
Forever, I'll learn.
Lila...
This bast I knew, she calls my name.
I'll turn away, in unbridled shame.
Feeling the fear still deeply, burning...
Forever, I'll learn.
Lila...
Enraged I circle, throughout my mind.
Give thoughts to the end, to past the time.
My bitterness still wanting, stirring.
Forever, I'll learn.
Lila…
Lila I'll come, I will take what is mine.
You stole my heart, I'm hollowed inside.
Now it's time for you to start, yearning.
Forever, I'm free.
Forever, this time.
Forever, you'll burn.
Lila...
-my grace with a helpless hand-

I went through the break-up of my first long term girlfriend recently. Through this I feel I can relate. The pain is so vivid, so difficult. All you can do is give yourself time. Good luck. Lovely piece of writing.
