Then Daisy Knocked At The Door

Then Daisy Knocked At The Door

A Poem by Andy Lewis
"

The fury of forgetting....

"
Stoic in the presence of her eyes, the blur to mask the shame inside.
She knocked at the door…
The touch of a day long past, like a whirlwind. The smell of a tangled memory, like vengeance.
And this she she knocked at the door…
I hear you daisy, loud and clear.
I hear you daisy, I wish to disappear.
She knocked at the door…
Days I have spent distorting your face, weeks I have pleaded my mind to erase…
And now she knocks at the door…
I'm frozen here, I can not bare.
This tortured moment, my heart so scared.
She knocked at door…
I will never let you in.
I will never live for you again.
Keep knocking daisy.
Till your hands run pale.
Keep knocking daisy.
I'll see you in hell
