Inner Beauty

Relationships and what to look for.

Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder...

 

What catches your eye as a person walks by?

 

What's causes that reaction of an initial attraction?

 

What's so nice to make you look twice?

 

What is it about that person that makes you smile, if only for while?

 

What do you first notice when you look again;

Is it so different for women and men?

 

I look first at their eyes to see how bright they shine;

Then to their smile to see if it's as wide as mine!

 

Superficial looks are something for an individual to cherish;

But you need to look deeper to find what you desire, as looks eventually perish!

 

Look for attributes and qualities, if only just a few;

Ones that intrigue, excite and provoke thoughts and that you really value!

 

Someone with Inner Beauty!

OH I love this! Every line was so true and you presented many questions to think about. I love the message behind this piece. Inner beauty is the most important and the initial attraction helps us to get to know someone and discover their inner beauty. Great poem! :)
