The Lady Speaks

The Lady Speaks

A Poem by Andy Shae

 The Lady Speaks

The Lady speaks, but no one responds.

She calls and no one answers.

Love as delicate as the glass on ponds.

Lines the like of a dancer.

The Lady speaks, with the eyes of fire

Finding truth through a rhetorical cancer.

Crashes with hope but never going any higher.

Living to find a single answer.

The Lady speaks, and everyones calls.

The cowards finally counter.

Shoving people through the halls.

What a close encounter.
