awakenA Poem by Andy MonsterTypical sob story of a girlfriend who broke up with me. Originally wrote as lyrics. When my eyes are closed I see the beauty we have. The memories we share with our future so bright. Laughter, smiling eyes and happiness is all we need. My eye's then open to an empty room Disordered and skewed with missing pieces to an unzolved puzzle. your ghost is still there, reminding me how it all crumbled. Your eyes do show it, the empty words with many broken promises. I see your sorrow now, caused by the hand that you once loved. Emptiness since you left, just another whispering memory of where I use too belong. distress, shame, heartache, The perplexity of how and why are no longer the question. justifying for reason of sanity was cracked by correlating discussions that I struggled to apprehend. shattered pieces I am left with, to discern the patterns that caused our divergence. Our souls now seperated in various directions, due to my disregaurding ways. Maybe one day our lines will intersect, then you'll see the transformation.
