Pink world

Pink world

A Poem by lost_poet

Pink world

I hate the colour pink,
reminds me of husband, ring.
Vulnerable and weak,
not something  that I seek.

It's been like that since... him
when my light bacame dim.
Broke, touched and hit,
that's when darkness took a lead.

Let's look like a boy,
I refuse to be a toy (again).
Black, blacker and gray,
Refused a colourful day.

And then I met you,
there was no black, dark blue.
You were pink from head to toes,
beautiful like a blooming rose.

Kind smile, honest words,
was like a collision of two worlds.
I barely blink(ed),
my life became pink.

I used to hate the pink colour
but now it is a honor
to wear pink with you.

Sturdy piece on a journey of recovery. Using the color pink as a symbolic reminder of past pain and current love. Brokenness to renewal!
I am curious, though, why the color Pink?
