Apocalyptic love

Apocalyptic love

A Poem by lost_poet

My lips,
Your lips,
Apocalypse.
You are the smell before rain,
You are the blood in my veins,
Touch of your skin,
We're drowning in sinn.
Your burning gaze,
That all was just phase,
Because...
After love comes just pain,
We are tied up with chains,
Through shattered windows,
We try to be hereoes.
Dying with memories,
With unsaid theories,
Have no one to hold,
My heart became cold...
Whom now to blame
For losing OUR flame?

At the very end, this piece begs the question of "whom now to blame for losing our flame"? Perhaps, god ultimately; if you're religious. But, life's natural essence; always burns away into nothingness - sooner or later. Overall, this reads as quite dark and sad; certainly capturing an aura of apocalyptic doom. Thanks for sharing. I accept "read requests" on this site, as well.
