Dearest Earnest

Dearest Earnest

A Poem by Andy Crawford
"

Lyrics to an old track I used to play and sing in my band.

"

Dearest Earnest

The painted sky, the hedgerow green

The smiling face that is seldom seen

The big regret, the might’ve been

The hunger you had when you still had a reason

The browning leaves, the morning dew

The realisation that no-body knows you

The ticking clock, the headache pounds

The weight on my mind as I pick myself up off the ground

On time delay

All decays, in time

All decays, in time

All decays, in time

All decays, so I’m constantly pushing away
