Embers

Tonight I’m stuck in amber

When all I want is green, green, green

You float like driftwood, immortal and serene

Oceans between us

On horizons blue and gold

I left my soul down by the salty sea

Did you get my love?

Did you decimate?

Did you cut your tongue?

Did you get my love?

Did you stand up

Stand up for forgiveness?

Tonight we dance on embers

Did you feel it burn your feet?

Restrained and passive, you fall into retreat

Does it make your heart fail?

The thought of letting go

Take your fears and bury them at sea

Should we find ourselves a slipstream?

Or swim into the tide

The sun creeps past my eyelids

So I am blind

Did you get my love, mainlined and fleeting?

Did it resonate?

Did it cause a scene?

Did you get my love?

Did you stand up

Stand up for forgiveness?

Desire can change, disarm her aim

See the hunter cave, would you bleed my name?

Wow, this one struck a chord,
So very nice, love the powerfulness in this.
I feel the melody in this one. Awesome!
