Hearts Collide

Hearts Collide

A Poem by Andy Crawford
"

A poem i wrote, which may or may not be used in a song at some point.

"
The heart is a fist covered in blood
my heart is a sad face carved out of wood
your heart is a picture that no-one could paint
my heart's kept behind a fence with no gate

Your heart is a box with fond memories inside
my heart is a bin bag which i use to hide
your heart is a room where tomorrow awaits
my hearts a balloon that slowly deflates

Your heart is a sky where the planets align
my heart is a hard drive which breaks all the time
You heart is a soft bed in which you awake
my heart is a cage from which i can't escape

Your heart is a train that will never derail
my heart is an organ that one day will fail
my heart keeps on beating although times are tough
your heart belongs to me, and for me that's enough

The poem sounds like lyrics for a Gothic song kind of - I liked it, the repetitions worked, they intensified the content.
