Run with scissors (Lyrics)

Run with scissors (Lyrics)

A Poem by Andy Crawford
"

Lyrics for an old song i wrote for my band Turn off the Sun. If anyone is interested in hearing the song send me your email address and i'll send you an MP3

"
I try, but i fail
to keep this roller coaster on the rails
I go out, i drink up
I'm trying to act my age instead of always acting tough
My head spins from the time i wake up
as the morning sun is cut and paste
into these eyes that can see the mess i've made
So i hide, procrastinate
I tear myself in half until i'm planning my escape
I go out and play the clown
and with palpitations and regret i get the last bus out of town
My head spins from the time i wake up
as the morning sun is cut and paste
into these eyes that can see the mess i've made
I run with scissors back to you
where your cheeks are stained with morning dew
and a look of loss upon your face says it all
I run with scissors back to you
where my pride is all i have to chew
to fix things up the best that i can
