Her Mothers Eyes (Lyrics)

Her Mothers Eyes (Lyrics)

A Poem by Andy Crawford
"

Lyrics for a song i wrote for my former band Charlie Brown Syndrome. If anyone is interested in hearing the song send me your email address and i'll send you an MP3.

"
No glass half full for Charlie
she has her Mother's eyes
she wears a poor disguise
No wonder she wakes with no conviction
when her dreams had held her high
her heartbeat hands inside a hollow cage
So she waits for life formalde-hiding in a jar
on a shelf where people come and go but never stay
so she waits, a lightbulb growing darker with the day
she searches for the strength to take away the grey
Behind her broken mirror
she searches for her smile
she catches her reflection and asks it why
Her life must be so empty
behind her Mother's eyes
she waits for a reply but it won't arrive
So she waits for life formalde-hiding in a jar
on a shelf where people come and go but never stay
so she waits, a lightbulb growing darker with the day
she searches for the strength to take away the grey
